Pick a Flick - Spring 2024 

 Pick-a-Flick is for retired people of Goring, Streatley and South Stoke. A film show and light lunch are provided every 3rd Thursday of the month (except August) from 10:30am to 2pm in The Canterbury Room at St Thomas' Church, Goring.

The cost is £5.00 per event including a light lunch. For the time being it will be necessary to book in advance. Please contact Jenny Boyd or Sarah Fraser to book in and to ask for transport if you require it. We look forward to hearing from you.

The story of Philomena (Judi Dench) whose baby was taken away from her and adopted in America and who has spent 50 years looking for him.   She meets a journalist (Steve Coogan) who is interested in her story and together they set off for America to look for him.

Based on a true story from the German occupation of the Channel Islands, a Jersey woman takes in an escaped Russian prisoner of war risking the lives of her family and friends.
