The Collect
The prayer for the week
O God, the protector of all who trust in you,
without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy:
increase and multiply upon us your mercy;
that with you as our ruler and guide
we may so pass through things temporal
that we lose not our hold on things eternal;
grant this, heavenly Father,
for our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake,
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Readings for this Sunday: Col. 1: 1-14, Ps. 25:1-10 and Luke 10: 25-37.

St Andrew’s coffee morning
The monthly coffee morning with cakes will take place in St Andrew’s this Wednesday, 13th July, from 10:30am. All welcome!
Piano Recital on Sunday 17th July at 3pm in St Thomas’
We are delighted that Janet Pound will be giving a recital where she will be playing works by Schumann, Debussy, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Poulenc, McDowell and Gershwin.
The recital will be followed by refreshments.
There will be no charge for the recital, but donations are welcomed to go towards St Thomas’ Organ Rebuild and Outreach Fund.
Pick-a-Flick, Thursday 21st July, 10:30am
Pick-a-Flick this month features the film “The Titfield Thunderbolt”. As usual, there will be coffee before the film and a light lunch afterwards and we ask for a contribution of £5 towards this.
Pre-booking is required so please contact Jenny or Sarah to book in and to ask for transport if you require it.
